Rest in peace my love, we will be together again some day...
Candida,

You are and will forever be my soul mate. Our promise to be forever vigilant in our
searching for each other hereafter has begun for you. Mine will start someday as well.

You are the living embodiment of courage, power and perseverance. To accept the
trappings of your body and have the ability to smile, love and laugh are forever your
mark and calling card.

Your laughter is infectious. No one who ever met you could resist your smile and
laughter, you welcomed everyone as family, and a stranger was only a stranger once.

Years ago, you wrote the following words, and had them printed on pens. You gave
them to your friends, relatives, and anyone you thought could use a pick me up.

You wrote: “The quality of a person’s character can be measured and determined by
their ability to challenge adversity and overcome hardship”

The words you wrote you lived. You never compromised you never wavered. You are
the strongest woman I have known or will ever know. You challenged adversity for the
better part of your adult life. Even then, you never doubted me; you never lost faith or
stopped loving me unconditionally.

Your life was fulfilled by your grand children, who you loved and adored, they filled
your heart with joy and especially, Jonathan who cared for you loved you and help in
any way he could. You would tell me stories barely able to say them without laughing
insatiably. Telling me how you were driving your wheelchair down the road with
Jonathan holding on the back. I could only imagine what people must have thought, I’m
sure the two of you brought smiles to many peoples faces. Thank you Jonathan for the
love you have for your grandma, I know she loved you dearly.

I think today, these might be the words she might speak to us today:

I have walked with you side by side,
Spoken what’s in my heart,
Touched you and felt your spirit,
Cried and wept with you.

My eyes have seen the beauty of this world,
My feet have walked in the warm pacific sands,
My face kissed by a gentle tropical breeze,
My ears have heard laughter and sorrow.

But now it’s time for me to experience something new,

Listen, do you hear the songs of angels,
It’s time to be walking again without pain
It's time to walk with friends and family of long past,
now filling my spirit with new visions,
visions I could have only imagined.

To walk through rose gardens that will never have shadows,
To run, dance and feel my spirit without burden fills me with laughter.

I will miss you for a time while we are apart,
But don’t despair or be mournful for me,
for see my friends, I am where the sunrise will last forever
and never again have pain or sorrow,

Keep me in your hearts and think of me there,
for when you do, I will be there.

When your time is near, I promise to look for you and together my dear,
We will touch the face of God.
